Magazines to buy - Evo, Top Gear etc.?

@James__H I'm actually looking to sell my collection of Trophy related magazines. I have 18 in total, mostly Evo magazine, couple of Autocar issues and a few other publications. I'll post the full list and some pictures later if you'd be interested in buying.

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

“What comes after a Trophy” is a question I’ve been asking myself on and off. I owned my Trophy and S2000 side by side, for me the former rather exposed the latter in terms of steering feel and driving enjoyment. Without having experience of either brand, I can’t imagine there are many cars...

    56/500 @ C&M

Spotted yesterday afternoon at Caffeine & Machine. I was there to watch Monaco F1 qualifying and see what else turned up!

Are we going to be in with a chance of taking the Win - Get Voting

The Trophy has won previous votes on Pistonheads, so I'd say its probably the favourite for top spot. I put my vote in for it and the other one on the list which I've owned - the Civic Type R (EP3). Best handling and best engine in hot hatches respectively, IMO...

    Continental Premium Contact 6

Can't say I've ever tried them myself, but I believe the FK8 Civic Type R OEM tyre was from Continental, so by no means a bad brand. I believe the Michelin PS4S or PS5's of comparable age are talked of as being the best performing tyres, but given the age gap between PS3's and PC6's, I wouldn't...

Trophy in this months Evo magazine

Thanks for the heads up. Another issue of evo to add to the collection 🤣

    Low RPM misfire

Any progress on this issue @Patrick Bateman? Mine also seems to have developed a similar issue, low rpm (~2k rpm) misfire on cylinder 2, stutters on acceleration in gear, but as far as I can tell it only happens from cold start and disappears when warmed up. Would be great if I can pinpoint an...

Renault UK selling Trophy 001 and other Heritage Fleet cars

WOW. I’m shocked that the Trophy made more than R26.R #001 - with no disrespect to the Clio, it’s not as special in my mind as one of those would be. As above, Harris’ short but glowing segment in that video no doubt helped the sale.

Reroduction of oem spec new Rear Dampers - Interest Check -

I do appreciate the time and effort that RsMax will have put into organising this, but I’ll be the first to admit I can’t really justify £400ish on a pair of rear dampers which my car doesn’t need right now, having just spent that on new tyres. The general consensus from previous threads I’ve...

    Tyre choice

Do you know if there is a generic name or colour code for the best powder coat colour match Nick? I’m looking to get mine done and then fit the new PS3s which are on their way…

To sell or to keep, that is the question?

In a couple of months when the weather improves and people are looking for a summer toy is probably the best time to sell. But lots to consider... Trophy - How many miles/owners does it have? Full service history and condition? Sachs etc still present? (biggest impact on its value) - Would you...

The spam bombing is a bit worrying

I've reported the user profile and hit 'Ignore'. At least that way your 'recent posts' menu on the right will only show actual threads that have been updated recently.

Barn Find 31k Trophy on eBay

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. The photos make it look to be in better (less rusty) condition under bonnet than the 55k miles one that sold for around £12k after fees on CC recently. I guesstimated at 15-20k as it has the low mileage and owner count which makes it as desirable on paper as the...
