Wiper stalk done but still only 1 intermittent speed

I have replaced the wiper stalk with part no. 7701051763 but am finding that no matter what intermittent speed I set the stalk to - intermittent is either on (at max on the new stalk) or off (every other speed setting).

As a new owner I didn't even use the std stalk before swapping it out but both seem to operate at an intermittent speed of approx. every 6 seconds.

So - is there a magic step I am missing, or has the previous owner found a way of modifying the default intermittent speed?

So up is off, push stalk down one click is intermittent then down again is fully on. When on intermittent you need to rotate the dial around the stalk to get the required speed of wipe.


Where did you get the stalk? Def that code number?

Yeah - got all that. That's what I tried to describe....badly
Bought from Renault direct.

Your description sounds like a few others on the wiper stalk thread that ended up with a stalk that fitted but was wrong.

Not sure for you Roger. I deffinatley picked up one with that part number and its working as expected. Sorry can't help more.
