Hi

I am after some decent tyres for road and track to whack on the Trophy after killing my PE2's at the Ring last weekend.

Apart from the obvious 888R's has anyone got any recommendations?

Cheers

:)

Other than another set of pe2's I'd only suggest either toyo proxies or Goodyear eagles, but that's only because those are the only other tyres I've had on a rs clio.

I would stick to the pe2's, i put Eagle F1's on the front of the Trophy and they are not as good as the pe2's, they are not bad just not as good, they do seem to be lasting alot longer than the pe2's though.

If you do a lot of trackdays it might be worth finding out about the HANKOOK RS2 Z212. I believe they have a road tread but a stiffer track tyre sidewall. They are out of stock at camskill but would only be £65 in 205/45 R16.

I wanted to try some for a ring trip but I think they are difficult to get hold of in a hurry. I'm sure they would make the car a bit more harsh for road use but they should be good on track.
