Blimey that is a big question, how much have you got to spend?

You should probably plan and match your mods over a period of time but first of all i would (with hindsight) upgrade the front brakes.

Discs and pads, camber and alignment will certainly help you fire it into corners quicker.
The reason i say to plan is that reno have already sqeezed a lot out of the engine and gaining more is difficult and can get expensive, there's loads on here if you spend a little time searching.

Help it breathe better mate

A good cold air feed
A good filter, or possibly induction kit
Decat
Exhaust
...and if you have any money left out of your grand, get it mapped

A decat is probably the cheapest single mod you can do that will give you more power, it will also invalidate your insurance and come mot day fail your car.
