My dealer was going to throw T200 PHY in with the car when I bought it but when I wanted the finance deal restructuring they said they wouldn't buy me the plate. Wasn't that bothered at time as was happy with a '55 plate but now kind of wish I'd been a bit pushier with them or even paid the money myself!

Just out of interest, why are the 'T2X PHY' reg's so popular? Is it because the 2 looks more like an R than any of the other numbers?

I really wanted T80 PHY because a well placed fixer cap would make it look exactly like TROPHY. But alas, it has gone.

I'm thinking of getting T17 PHY now because the 17th letter of the Greek alphabet is Ro. So it would be TRO PHY. Trouble is I really like my reg 'XOG' and my girlfriend calls the car 'Zog' so she would be upset about it, probably more upset that I wasted £250 on a silly plate rather than take her away for the weekend.

Bunch of posers, shoud trade in CTs for SLKs or some other overweight German junk.

Financial school boy error #1: Before accusing us why assume we can only afford either a plate or an exhaust? Who says we can't have both and more?

Financial school boy error #2: You've eluded to the fact that a plate is a better investment than an exhaust or any other modification. I've already been offered almost double what I paid for my plate, plus it will help sell the car with all other cars being equal.

There is always a sour grape in every bunch. If you've got nothing nice to say then keep quiet! Especially if it is not constructive and you're not adding anything to the forum.
