Since owning a yellow mk1 1300S for ten years, I've always lusted after one of these....

Considered one when I bought my Puma, until I thought about not being able to put unleaded in it, not being able to get mk 1 spares by 2000 when the "Yellow Peril" went to Valhalla, just how bad mk1 brakes were.

The itch is still there though :-({|=

Bloody Hell, that is truly time-warp condition. I wonder how much it will fetch. I have to say one day I'm going to buy a 1988 (XU9JA) 205 1.9 GTI with next to no miles on the clock and keep it in a garage somewhere just to look at and drive in the sunshine occasionally, and the same for a Trophy too, if I haven't still got it in my retirement!

Currently £12600  Reserve not met

OUCH! Proper low mileage Trophy money for a 25 year old Fiesta! You've got to be completely in love with them or a fruit loop to pay that (probably the same thing).

As for small fast fords, what about the Fiesta ST, 0-60 probably about the same as this.

i doubt that it was intended for sale then - they will have been trying to gauge market value, who in their right mind would turn down £22k for a 25 year old fiesta?

It's not like they've spend thousands on it in mods, it's just been stored away.

Nutters.
I bet you could source all the parts - including body shell - for less.

Lad that I work with says his brother recently found a perfect condition MK 2 Escort body shell still in it wrappings, bought it for £400 and then sold it again for £2K.

It is now on a rally car with a Cosworth engine and 4 wheel drive
