Agreed.
Only the good die young.
Leaves a wife and 2 little ones.
He and Richard Burns will keep each other in good company I hope.

I can't believe he's gone, it's absolutely terrible. His little boy was only five. He was at the Festival of Speed this year with the new Rally Car that he designed.

i'm gutted for the family... absolute legend... those that burn the brightest.......

Perhaps worst is that two youngsters were involved. RIP and my best wishes to both families.

maybe one of our members could knock up a desktop background for him and we could decide which one to use, print it off and put it in our back window for a little while??

What do people think? and who has the tallent to make one?

A tribute to him and others that were taken only seems fitting.

Absolutely terrible news. Made even more terrible by the loss of his son.

Totally gutted as he was an unsung hero in many ways.

Hopefully Subaru will do a Macrae special edition in rememberance.

Would certainly hope so, after all Subaru's would have still been a farmers workhorse if it had not been for McRae

Richard Burns has had 2 limited edition models named after him (RB5 and RB320) so it's only fair for McRae to receive the same honour
