Well girls and boys.
Back on topic..
Ive mailed the person selling the car TWICE, and so far no reply. Im sure they dont want to sell it....
I was going to have a look to seriously consider it. But no response....
Its around 6-8 miles away from me, so yes just round the corner...
I didnt realise there was another in the Blackpool area...

Looking at the pics they have now posted, it looks a bit rough anyway, missing the "costly" front splitter, and the a/c panel looks badly scratched...

Most of them do have splitter and heater panel problems don't they. Easily sorted but as you say the gen splitter isn't cheap

I'll give you 500 quid and take the Sierra off your hands... you don't have to worry about it then...

In fairness, if I sold the Cossie, I could probably get a Trophy, Williams 1 and possibly a 182 (liquid yellow).

I like your caring thoughts of taking it off me for £500 though

In all honesty I'll have to get my hands on a fun Clio at some point.

If its a three door you could have a Clio V6 and a trophy

But I wouldn't, not over a cossie anyway.

Sadly mine's a 4 door one. Still, it's standard so at least it's one of the good, unabused ones

It'll definitely need a few £££'a spent on it to get it nice. It's still on eBay, so is it a case of the seller trying to drum up an over the odds offer? Who knows???

Not too sure if this car is legit. Just checked the redg on MOT checker an it comes back,
"Vehicle details could not be found as it has not been possible to locate the vehicle details, your enquiry cannot proceed and has been cancelled."
All seems a little fishy too me.....
Sent them another mail tonight, but im not holding my breath....

MMMM fair enough...
BUT its looking like a poss money pit,
Front splitter, heater panel, steering wheel replacement, brake discs, tyres, engine light.?? could be lambda fault. Who knows, Windscreen chips, ...... The £££ are adding up....
And that's just what we know at the moment....
NOBODY can get to view the thing.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Either that or it needs to be cheaper in the first place...

If the bodywork is nice Dave and the service history is right all the other bits are easily sorted really. Steering wheels, splitters, heater panels are common failings on all of these cars as you will know. The seats look good. If you could get it for under £6k you could sort the little bits at your leisure.

I think it's a £4k car all day. It needs work to get it immaculate and it deserves to be immaculate.

I'm not sure you can say very many but the worst high mileage part missing shitters are £4k cars now considering a crashed Cat C just fetched 3.3k

It's worth what someone will pay. I've seen recent 90-100k milers going for circa £5k. This needs a minimum £500 for the dampers before starting on the other niggles.

Just an opinion though. Yours might be different.

Sorry mate but I can't agree, I'm struggling to understand why there is such a downer on the car.
As far as I can see this is a 73k mileage car, 4 owners in 10 years with a claimed comprehensive service history. The bodywork looks good or certainly no worse than most. The seats and interior are very good.

There's nothing to suggest the dampers need doing, there's certainly been no recent MOT comment and there's a lot of hot air talked about the need for them done every x years anyway.

The items a potential owner would want to spend money on are the heater panel £30. Front splitter £100 used if you want a genuine one. Steering wheel, loads of them for £30.

The tyres are consumables, looking at the pic they are getting low but drivable, the rear discs get an advisory but no doubt perfectly serviceable. The engine light is the blight of any Clio, possibly a lambda sensor.

SO.......when 70k cars are selling for £7k+ why is this car worth 3 grand less.

Just my opinion, at £5500 I think the price is spot on
