ok, i changed from my track wheels as it was a wet track and we we're being paced at a ridiculously slow speed for 2 of the first 3 sessions. As soon as the afternoon sessions started though the track dried out but i'd already changed my wheels back.
Other than going through pads like they were butter (had no brakes at all for a 65 mph corner after a 100 mph straight!) it was an ok day.
Not sure if i'd do another one as there was only two others, one a silver V6 and a R26 that were quick, the others seemed to be taking it very easy. Chalk and cheese to a normal RS track day. I've never liked sessioned track days to be fair.
I was lapping in 1:42's ish on the road tyres - the cups were doing mid 1:30's on slicks ( i think the fastest was a 1:33) the Formula Reno's were a different league.
I'd have thought with a sequential box, some weight loss and a set of slicks i'd have been quicker than the cups :wink: :idea:
