i drove the birel with a rotax engine when i test drove it, really quick eh!!!

its 1250 quid for the engine 'kit' which includes exhaust and radiator etc.
then 2200 for a new Birel chassis, not cheap but Birel are known to be one of the best around. you can easily get a 2nd hand chassis though, any rotax one will do, i got a 'special' deal on the birel cos i know the dealer, it had done 3 meetings and i paid 1200 for it with a brand new tillett seat.

Racing it at Larkhall near Glasgow once my licence comes through.

When i had a go i thought it would be like them standard ones...............was i in for a supprise :D

Bit awkward bump starting & holding on to them when you stall out the back of a curcuit.

Boy do they like to rev

it runs approx 21-22 horsepower, and you know your moving when you are that close to the ground.

steve, sounds like a TKM kart you drove, the ones you have to bump start!?

The blue class is TAG (touch and go) with push button start and onboard alternator.

stupidly fast!!!!
