    Hi all,

Looking a full set of genuine Renault timing tools for the F4R engine if anyone might have any for sale?

    Thanks

Thanks for trying Bearne, but as Tonk said.......genuine tools are paramount on these cars.

Mine was done by a generally amazing mechanic......but the timing is out a hairs breadth. No genuine tools simply cannot take the forces required to tighten and loosen the cam pulleys.....and on these engines, that slight hairs breadth out is enough to feel the effect

    Anyone else?

Would even consider renting them from someone at this stage. Local Renault will not sell me them. RPD have them but wanted to try the forums first

    TDC/Crank Pin - 0000105400 - £8.98
    Extra Longer Cog + Spacers + Nut - 0000150901 - £16.56
    Camshaft Locking Tool - 0000149600 - £40.50
    Pulley Locking Tool - 7711381801 - £40.50

These prices are probably a lot more now but hopefully this may help?

Yes I am with you on the timing, I think mine jumped 2 teeth on the belt and managed to run it 5k miles without causing too much damage before it finally had to be rebuilt!

Hey bud, yeah.....seems the prices are slightly up......looks like ~150 for the set.

Just staggered at my local dealerships point blank refusing to sell so I am reduced to sourcing from the mainland. I am NI

    Thanks
