Hi,

A couple of questions if I may....

Do the downpipe and cat come in one piece as the guy at Renault said. I, little me, thought they were separate. He quoted me £873 inc vat for backbox and wait for it.... £1800 ex vat for downpipe/cat.

Which steering do we have on the Trophy Mark 2. He didn't know either. It is either Koyo, SMI, TRW or JTEKT. The track rod end has different prices app.

Does anyone have part numbers for the below, as, I trust you guys more than I do Renault :/
Handbrake cables part number(s)?
Track Rod End part number(s)?
Downpipe part number(s)?
Sachs Trophy Springs Part number(s)?

THANK YOU!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Regards,
jsgthomson

The standard cat is a separate piece.

Our Trophys are fitted with SMI steering racks, they always ask me that when ordering track rod ends. The part numbers are 7701474492 (NSF) and 7701474493 (OSF).

Front Eibach springs 8200514730

Hand brake cables 8200228260 (OSR) 8200228347 (NSR)

Good info Ben. I think it may be time to start a "Useful Trophy part numbers" thread and sticky it somewhere.

Agreed. I'll start compiling a list to start with and we can keep adding to it. Start digging some receipts out...

Great idea. Crowd sourced information is likely to be superior to Renault's average parts department; as long as we can be confident.

Perhaps pictures of part numbers, or certainly information from those that have actually purchased the correct parts.

There does seem to be a significant amount of confusion when engaging with Renault concerning the Trophy vs. 182 vs. 182 Cup.

Cool. I'll make a list when I get a minute and post a new thread. If everyone keeps sharing their findings I'll just keep re-editing the original post so that all the information is on the same page.

Thank you for the help... much appreciated!

Does anyone have the down pipe part number? or would you go with a non-renault part like KTEC or Scorpion or ?

So, for the exhaust, there is the back box, centre piece (silencer), the cat, then the down pipe then the manifold. Anything else I should know about? Does anyone have a proper diagram?

I can't believe how much they charge for the exhaust. I'll be looking to fit an oem system but at that money I might not bother!

Basically the standard exhaust consists of the 4-2-1 Manifold, Catalyst Converter and centre section/back boxes. The centre section/back boxes are supplies as 1 piece, so everything from the cat back is 1 piece.

Im not sure if anyone does a downpipe for the trophy and manifold wise PMS have one but you have to run throttle bodies to use it.

So no one makes them. I was told today that Renault don't stock them anymore.... :worried:

Can I just clarify that I have the correct part numbers for the handbrake cables because Renault have completely different part numbers

From a post on here I got 6000073734 (OSR) and 6000073733 (NSR) product numbers BUT from Renault I got 8200228260 and 820022834 @ £65.28 for 2.... Who's correct here

I'm not sure I understand this. There is no downpipe as such. The 182 exhaust consists of three parts, the four into one manifold, the "cat" and then the main part of the exhaust which has the silencer and then splits into the two back boxes.

That's correct. 8200228260 & 8200228347 are the part numbers I believe.
I edited the post yesterday after I posted the wrong numbers. You must have copied the numbers before I edited it. I posted part numbers for the 172. If you look at my post above you can see when I changed it. Apologies for that.

Might have been mentioned before but
I've replaced the centre silencer as a seperate piece to the rear boxes, and also the rear boxes. All from Renault, the original factory exhaust has two dots to mark the cutting point for future replacements. ie when you need the original back boxes or centre silencer replaced, you cut between the two dots & replace that half.

loads of 182 manifolds kicking about. Hard part is finding one that not too badly wanted at the cat. Joint.

For added fun it's engine out or I think subframe off to get it out..
172's had a different two peice manifold which mighty explain some of the down pipe chat.
