Error code

I am starting to see the service light flash when I sit at idle.
Using my torque app, I get the error code P0300. The look up shows this,

P0300 - Generic
Type Powertrain - Ignition System or Misfire - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description
Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

It's not causing any problems yet and the light goes out as soon as i pull away, but this is obviously the start of something.
I get the impression (from Google) that it is either electrical or fuel.
Car is on 65k, well serviced, plugs and leads are only a couple of years old.

Anyone know what the fault code means for a Renault.
Any ideas from either electrical or fuel side.
Cheers

Sounds like my missfire, 4 new injectors sorted mine (just took a few more parts to get to that decision lol)

Can I ask what your symptoms were and also how hard it is to replace the injectors.
Can you replace injectors only or is there more.
Cheers

EML flashed on every so often but didnt drive too bad really. My mechanic changed the injectors so cant comment on that side sorry. Pretty sure you can change only the injectors, I ended up with new spark plugs and new coil pack though along with HT leads lol

Mine definitely only flashes the light when idling. Don't know if that seems more an electrical problem.

Very slightly rough idle when the light is flashing.
Only other reason I'm thinking electrical is that I have had the car running on three cylinders for 30 seconds or so after a car wash.

I occassionally have the same symptoms and the same error code. I've read a lot about it on here and cliosport.net and there seems to be no one definate solution. Could be injector(s), coil pack, HT lead(s) or spark plug(s). Plan to measure resistance of injectors this weekend to see if there's any obvious fault, if not then start replacing parts, cheapest first working my way up to injectors.

Think I will check with my local renault specialist as to when i had the new plugs and leads. Looks like £50 for a coil pack and £200 for the injectors so probably try the coil pack first.
Thanks for the advice.
Is there any form of servicing guide for these cars and engines?

Important one being the aux belt kit (not just the belt) at 36k miles or 3 years whichever comes first - believe the service book says 5 years.

Cam belt is 72k or 5 years.

Standard oil and filter service is 12k miles.

I actually wondered if there was any form of Haynes manual although that service schedule is pretty interesting.
Anyone know how current those prices are as my local Renault specialist charged me £540 just for the cam belt service. (oil brake fluid etc was more).
