    Hi Guys and Girls.
Just spoken to a member of the Renaultsport sales team at Birmingham Renault
    Andy Fern
    0121 418 0103
He has taken my details and told me he is happy to take calls from other interested parties even though official details have not been released, will forward when they are by email.
    Press releases etc.
Very knowledgeable and sounds like he has worked for Renault for some time.
Get in early if you want to beat the expected rush.

Assume he wouldn't leak any details till tomorrow?
I would utterly love one.. Think price will be mental though.. Exclusive yes but mental. Let's face it £36k for a Megane R was just would imagine this will be north of 30k.. Then it's hard to not look at the opposition.

He said they were aware of the car but had no official details and prices as yet.
Agree on price, needs to be priced around £25k otherwise there are many other cars to consider around the £30k mark

I'm watching this. Trophy would have to go though. It will be price sensitive to an extent but even at £30k how much of the competition is limited edition with a good chance of retaining value. Thoughts?

Retaining value who knows.. That's a gamble.

30k it would be fighting against even a fully specd up cup-s. Focus rs will hold it value for a while.. Until they tweet it. Golf r won't as there is thousand of them due to finance deals meaning all the kids have one currently. Type r defo shouts styling wise more than even the mad wing on this thing.

have they released the final costs of the fiesta m-sport yet? I know it's down on power but got some trick bits elsewhere. That might hold its value once they stop doing them.

the other consideration for me at 30k would be what's coming in down the way in used varieties. Tidy V8 m3/ 6ltre Amgs, Different car yes but then you have to think you just sunk 30k into a clio

Or you can go for a mint mini GP.. There value looks like it's heading north..

I saw that but I cannot believe it's a concept.. Let's be honest they have stuck an old engine into a new car. Very clever but a hardcore modifier would try that. not really cutting edge of a concept design doing that is it? RWD madness or mad touring car like that megane trophy race car would have been a concept

    I would live to think £25k ... But not a chance:wink: I bet it's actually more than a megane r..

If it's put into production, then this will easily be 30k plus

Looks and sounds a great car. But that level of specialist parts and engineering is never going to be cheap. Didn't they sell the trophy for a loss when new? So I fear no matter how great it could/should or will be, it's only going to be a car for the rich collector's which will be a real shame.
