clio cup racing

anybody else go to see the "clio cup" racing at Croft yesterday? along with the usuall touring cars...the clios were pretty cool,couldnt belive how hard they were going into the 1st turn...you were free to look around the cars and talk to the drivers & mechanics if thats your thing...here are a few pics...it was red hot....i wondered if the red car had been a trophy at some stage...

Standard 182 tailgate spoiler, not the V6 as fitted to Trophy..
Not one of us, unless he changed it of course? But if he has he might as well have stuck an ' F1 technology ' bit of plastic,venturi on it for his downforce :lol:

172 rear valance too. Probably started life as a 172 cup. Nice pics.

All the uk race cars started off as the mk1 172 chassis in 1999.

The cars were updated in 2001 with new front ends and rear bumper and spoiler to promote the new shape Clio Cup at the time.

In fact the team owner that runs that and the similar is a member of this very forum!.
