Hi guys

My cars currently in the bodyshop being painted, its been there for around 6 weeks so far but the guys contacted me to say it won't start anymore.

He's had this checked out for me as I'm away and its come up saying crank sensor fault, is a new sensor required or is this something more serious?

He's said he can have the sensor replaced as I'm away with work for another week or so but unsure what to do, don't want to start throwing money away.

Thanks for any help.

Regards
Dean

Crank sensor as in TDC sensor? If so it might be worth asking him to give it a wiggle, check the connections and to give it a clean. I believe it's quite common that a dirty sensor can prevent the engine from firing up.

Thanks mate, he just said a diagnostic said crank sensor so not sure.

Will ask him to try this as I've already spent close to 2k since getting the car and have barely done any miles!
