    What would happen if....

Thanks for the initial advice Hoolio - very useful website! Sounds like the same advice from other people so what I intend to do is: Give the car a darn good clean. Change the Engine Oil before hand. Put the car on axle stands. Cover the car and basically leave it. Then get my brother to run...

    What would happen if....

I left my car in the garage for say over a year. What would happen to the car if it wasn't driven. I might be moving abroad for work and can't bare to sell the Trophy. My brother said if you left it that long the wheels would deform and be useless - so best to put on axle stands. Apart from...

    Trophy #31 2005

Due to an unfortunate change in circumstances, the Trophy will have to go. Registered in July 2005 it has tax til 31st Jan 2009 and has done 25,269 miles. I am the second owner of number 31 and it is in good condition. Recently had 2 new Mich PE2's on the front (1 month ago) and the front brakes...

Yep my air con is absolute pony. Hardly cold to be honest - gonna take it for a recharge next week.

    Fuel?

I just to use V-Power and Ultimate all the time until recently. Prices are just far too high and with everything else going up (i.e. food costs, living costs, car tax, etc) I'm gonna have to watch the pennies somewhere! I just whipped up a quick spreadsheet of how much more it would cost me...

    Best rear brakes?

Mine are still "healthy" after 23k so you must been giving it some!

NewsFlash: Word on the street is that this tyre is going to be discontinued.

    Tyres

£100 per wheel lock stock and all smoking barells. I coudn't be bothered to barter but noting that Costco do them for £88 per corner is making me feel a little ill seeing as there is one about 5 miles from me.

    tint

What gradient tint have you opted for? I only like really light tints just for effect (and a little to keep the sun out) but I would NOT tint the front windows...because if you get stopped you will have to take them off! Also would you not consider getting them professionally done? It's not...

    Tyres

On the F1 Auto Centre website they have two types of PE's is it: 1) 195/45 R 16 80V MICHELIN PILOT EXALTO PE2 or 2) 195/45 R 16 80V MICHELIN PILOT EXALTO PE2 XL whats the ones standard on the Trophy?

Tail pipes not level with each other

Can't tell how much they are angled with pics but I know the Orbi I had didn't sit perfectly together and nor did the Janspeed I fitted afterwards. Thing is though, you can make slight adjustments when fitting to get them perfectly flush and angled on the car. Although, again, it makes little...

    4 point harness

Yep I believe this is the normal way to overcome this problem. I would be interested in getting some harnesses, but would the back bench have to be removed?

Best Exhaust for my Trophy ?

Ive had the Orbi and now Janspeed on the Trophy and although the Orb rocked for performance and sound, the Janspeed is also well made, well priced and (from what I've heard from other ppl) about the same decibel level as the OEM exhaust. Depends what you want really and how deep your pockets are.

    Trophy is currently feeling unloved...

Im quite happy, as probably most are on here, to give the tophy a quick spin every other day to keep her sweet and loose. :?:

Where to service? Dealers or Specialist?

I have owned a few clio's in the past and have always taken it to the same Renault Specialist near where I live. He has been a Renault specialist for nearly 15 years and he is very clued up on anything French to be honest. Anyway, I've had an oil change from him on the Trophy a few thousand...

Fitted new front brakes with pics.

This may sound like a silly question, but how many litres do I need to do the front's? Also how easy is it to do, and will I need any special tools?

No I didn't - thinking I should perhaps change them now. Anyone recommend any fluid?

Fitted new front brakes with pics.

Yeah i read that somewhere too - and something about removing the metal shims? But I introduced them into their new home and they seemed to fit quite well. One thing I did forget to mention earlier - my old pads we're absolutely sh*gged. A corner of the pad fell off when I took them out...

Fitted new front brakes with pics.

Oh forgot to add I got the setup from Yozza and think they came in under £200 iirc. They have been sitting in my study for quite a while though!

Fitted new front brakes with pics.

Yeah was planning to do the lines as most have suggested, but that is one thing I haven't done before! They've bedded in fairly nicely I think. I haven't done too much hard braking, but on the odd occasion when the red light has popped up unexpectedly, they do perform well and there is...

Fitted new front brakes with pics.

Finally managed to get round to putting up some pics of my new front setup. Looked through pratically every single post on the net about RS front brakes and decided to get the Brembo Max's coupled with DS2500's. I've fitted brakes before to my old Golf MK4 and a Alfa GTV so thought the...

    Stealers brake check.....

Yup that is disgraceful! Like most on here I got Brembo Max Discs paired with DS2500's from Yozza at something like £200. Bought a tub of copper grease and bob's your uncle, new (front) setup for £200 + 1.5 hours work + 2 cups of tea. If your feeling adventurous, it's pretty simple...

    Blooming Recaros...

This is the main problem I have with the Trophy. If I were to sit in my optimum "racing" position, lol, then I would have to stretch and lean forward to change gears. If I move the chair forward, the trophy doesnt really accomodate my 6ft frame.

    Ski holiday

Hi there guys, Don't mean to intrude on this post but I've just booked a ski hol for a week in beginning of Feb in Chamonix. I'm not too bothered about the quality of the location etc as this is my first time EVER doing this stuff - but - will there be snow and will there be enough of it at...
