I work in IT recruitment, mainly software/web developers in the London area. It's been pretty tough trying to find people jobs over the last couple of years but things seem to be getting a bit better now.
I personally like the Yokohama Parada Spec-2, although I'd wait until the weather gets a bit nicer as they can be a bit scary on slippery winter roads... :?
Hi Dee, welcome to the forum!
This thread covers a lot of the common faults and is probably a good place to start so you know what problems to look out for: http://cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=534
I've got Brembo HC discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads and have found them to be excellent both on road and track. The stopping power is great, especially once you get them up to temperature and I haven't had a problem with damaging the rims.
GDI do a couple of kits which might be worth checking out...
Not mine, but found these on Youtube.

IMHO they are a nice tyre - as he said, the sidewalls are very stiff, although you do need to get a bit of heat into them to get the best out of them. Can be a bit scary in the wet sometimes too...
Well, it's my gf's mum's birthday and they live in Conwy. Was thinking of suggesting they have a mother/daughter bonding day and I'll do the gentlmanly thing of keeping out of their way for a bit and exploring the roads around Snowdonia. Any suggestions where would be a good starting point?
Fingers crossed I should be collecting my little bundle of fun tonight! :D Already got a weekend in North Wales booked up in a couple of weeks so hopefully it'll be another sunny one!
