Hello!
A friendly chap spotted me near traffic lights in Hornchurch town centre and plucked up conversation around 11:30 today… he said he owns a Trophy (300 and something?!… maybe 354 or 364..?!) and it’s in for some works at the mo.
Nice to meet a surprise local owner!
Hi all,
After a rather quiet couple of years on here, the wonderful, but tricky Sachs dampers on my car lead me back to the forum!
Yes, it's time for a refurb and so I wanted to quickly check whether anyone has a set of cup shocks that they fancy parting up with, so that I can remove my...
So, with the Trophy now being the only car in our household, thus enjoying the odd long journey, I’m somewhat struggling with the drone from the Orbisoud exhaust at motorway speeds… It was never previously an issue because the car was only used at weekends, but during a recent trip to Oxford...
Good evening all
Well, after a considerable time away from the site, I'm back online.. Hope all the old faces are well :D and the new faces are enjoying their tomatoes!
Why is it that the day I get back on here after not having used the site since it was overhauled, my car decides to go on...
Hi Guys
I'll update this thread in due course, but just a quick link to our Mini Cooper - gutted to be selling it, but at least the T's staying for now
It's up for £6250;
- 41k miles
- Full Mini SH
- Recently serviced
- New pads all round
- MOT until April 2012
- Tax until Oct 2011...
I have a full kit with td 8 brain to sell. No decisions on price as yet, but I thought I'd post on here in case anyone happens to be interested, before it heads for good old eBay.
Feel free to ask questions.. I will be getting photos soon.
Cheers
Guys, your thoughts on the below please..
My T was serviced a number of months ago and has since covered approximately 1100 miles. Today it went for its MOT and failed on a ball joint. So my questions are...
- Would you have expected a significant failure to occur within the space of a number...
Spotted turning right onto St.michaels hill, around 12:30pm today. Looked like it was loaded up to the gunnels! My fiancée (recent!) and I had just been quad biking and rage buggying and were heading to cheddar, else would have followed to chat (although we're in here mini cooper). Pretty sure...
Hi chaps
I wonder if anyone can advise me; I have my old standard exhaust, sawn off in order to be removed. It's fairly rusty, but I guess may have some life left in it.. Is it worth trying to sell, or simply worthy of scrap?
Cheers
Spotted approaching the traffic lights at the Petits Lane junction. I think it had a personalised plate, starting with R, however I was travelling in the opposite direction so wasn't sufficiently fast to fully catch it..
Pulled alongside you on the m11 heading London bound. Quite amusing to have spent a day surrounded by trophys and then to spot another on the way home!
Btw, one of your tail lights was out!
My air conditioning has been smelly a tad on the musty side so I have been looking at products to clean it up. Has anyone got any experience of using them before?
It seems that the Comma product comes fairly well recommended..
Got into my car excited about heading to Bedford this evening and as I drove down my road, my excitement died.. The Exhaust emissions light was on and unlike before, it was static, not flashing.. Restarting the car did not clear it so I left it on the driveway and I shall be borrowing my fair...
This just aggravates me..

Why do the government try to suggest that they're remotely 'green' minded and yet they blindly push incentives that are actually completely the reverse and then will most likely penalise us if we don't take them up?!
Another great meet. Not as much convoy driving as the previous few outings but a good opportunity to chat and also to get some passenger rides! (Big thanks to Dallas for negotiating the tight gaps, 4 up in the blue barge! Also to Jules and Luke for back to back Orb race/soft comparisons!).
Here...
For those scared of maths...
The digestion of food is done by special enzymes.
(a) What is the name of the organ that produces enzymes protease, lipase and amylase?
(b) What is the name of the enzyme that digests fat?
(c) Name two products when fat is digested
My girlfriend is about to purchase a new car, well, used but around the age of my Trophy. I have told her that she has to start looking after this one and it has surfaced the discussion regarding car care. My car was Permaguarded by duffer987 and for the last 2 and a bit years under my wing, I...
I'm off to Angelworks on Monday for a service and am after some brake decent fluid. In my usual way I've left decision making far too late and can't get hold of any via mail order so have been phoning around places nearby and all I can find thus far is Ferodo and carlube or halfords own brand. I...
thoughts?
I like the semi subtleness of it versus the full on Focus RS. Sadly daytime running lights are already becoming a cool chav addition so I'm not sure they'll do it any favours..
To all those who are looking for a Trophy or have recently purchased one (there seem to be many at present!). What's led you to your purchase?.. Wondering if something specific has sparked interest, like a magazine article or suchlike?
Right, well here are the long awaited photos - sorry!!!!
Great meet - only a couple of us but appreciate it was short notice.. We managed to fit in plenty of driving, with a few but not too many Sunday drivers along the way 8)
Thanks to Wrighty for being pace car again.. this time...
So, who's heading off to the moutains again this coming season?
I plan to return to Tignes for my 2nd boarding experience. Sadly this year I shall be going during Feb half-term as my girlfriend is accompanying us and she is now teaching.. Expecting the slopes to be totally rammed but hey, if...
