I disagree. I know I do not own a Trophy, but a 182 with CUP packs & having previously owned a EP3 & DC5 I say there is very little in it until 3 figure speeds between the 192 & EP3, after that both the Honda cars would walk away.
It is the opposite when cornering comes. My EP3 didn't not feel...
Was it an owner from here?
You came along with your little lass in the morning (She was very sweet btw) & collect alone in the arvo.
I was the lad that was dropping off the RB182.
Is your exhaust the Orb? It sounded subtle, but very nice as you left.
Still won't be as good as the FD2 equivalent imo.
The front wings are a nice addition, but the dash & arse of the car are still a mess.
Why not purchase a really clean Pre-face lift DC5 & spend 5K on it & it would disappear from this & still look fantastic.
Have a look @ Hondas-on-track.com
You can book North Weald days through them ALOT cheaper than anywhere else.
And yes believe it or not plenty of different cars run with them.
I've done it 3 times with them now & can not fault it, learnt plenty about the 182 too.
Steve is right it is...
It is don't put your foot on the accelerate until you know you don't have to take it back off
As others have said try some instruction or an airfield day. Nothing to hit & plenty of space to try different approaches.
My guy didn't have of the any horse shoe looking clamps, so undid my existing clamp, held the cat & cat-back pipe higher & re-tightened the clamp. It's definitely raised the cat. My middle hanger looked like it had seen better days so I'll get this changed once my axle stands come through...
Sorry to interrupt the thread, but the join on my cat is poor too (Still on OEM exhaust) & might take a trip to my tyre/exhaust gent this arvo to try for one of those clamps to help rectify it. So thank you for sharing peeps
Very tuneable actually. A Gruppe M induction kit will probably see a solid 10BHP top end gain along with usable torque.
Expect more in the mid-range.
Then there is KPRO, different exhaust manifolds etc etc.
Cheers Cue
Your description of the exhaust vapour is bang on.
Not been wanting to put my foot down to to thinking about it going pop tbh
I'm half sure the poor fuel consumption has been down to short drives & very cold starts of late tbh buddy.
Thanks for the tip with...
Hey Gang,
I've asked on CS & thought I'd ask on here for peace of mind tbh.
Right the issue I have is my car has only covered just over 17,000 miles & all seems well, pulls as normal, idles the same as before, but I noticed as I pushed the car further up the rev range & as it came on cam there...
Seem like very nice results.....I too had heard the Clio engines run alot better with some miles on them 8)
I hope thats not on standard valve springs or he will be in trouble sooner or later
Thanks for the heads up
My car was servicing @ Ren-Tech last week & Dave mentioned nothing was amiss & she's being MOT'd tomorrow so I'll get the guy to have a good nose round whilst she's in the air as my warranty runs until next month.
I have a question regarding this again...sorry.
My 182 is a 55 plate & has covered 16K, now Mike & Dave @ Rentech are doing the 36K service this month.
Mike said they will change the AUX belt & check the pulley bearings, if they are fine & dandy then just the AUX belt will be change & not...
Really???
I know mine is a 182 & not the Trophy, but my renewal this year with the missus now added was only £400.
I'm 28 with FNCB.
Would the difference bewteen the 182 & Trophy to for an insurance co. warranty all that extra premium?
