This dealer has bought a few Trophys lately and is asking very strong money! But I also think that Trophys that are in very good / excellent condition have been undervalued. In a few years time a car that has been well looked after could genuinely be worth 9k as more of them are neglected and...
The 250/265 look the part but my budget won't stretch to a nice one. I would maybe buy one in a few years. My garage looks so empty without a car in it :-(

They seem like a natural progression from the Trophy. A little more civilised but still a very capable car when you want it to be. Plus with a few mods they seem to be capable of 270+ bhp
Plus they seem to be fairly good value for money.
Thanks very much!
I was sad to see it drive away and it was literally in 'Mint' condition..as some might say....LOL.
Absolutely cracking little car but I fancy an R26 now.
For Sale 302 with 64k Miles. *Sachs just refurbed 100 miles ago by BG
It’s with sadness that I’m selling 302 but I feel it’s time to move on and try something different (MINI Cooper S Works) as I don’t plan on keeping any car forever.
I have owned it since May 2014 and it has been my pride...
I recently had my shocks rebuilt by BG and have to say the customer service was excellent and only took 1 week including postage....BUT I think they are way overpriced for the work involved! As they are the only official Sachs dealer in the UK they can charge pretty much what they want. But...
I think it is the rear bumper rubbing against the arch and then water/dirt gets in, as Hoolio said, and allowing rust to start.
The bumpers on the Clio have a tendency to droop very slightly in the middle and when it's drooping in the middle, the ends move up towards the arch and can cause the...
Glad you got the airbag lights fixed!
Yes you can get the white grease from halfords or most diy stores. Usually referred to as 'white lithium grease' and yes it's just a case of lifting the gaiter and spraying it over the plastic ball from there.
Hope it helps.
Ash you have the car looking really well!
Regarding the squeaky shifter - spray some white grease over the plastic ball. This should help.
Also is there a possibility the the squeaking is coming from another part of the shifter? I'm asking this because at the very bottom of the gearstick...
The sabelt wheel looks great! Jack does a fantastic job and the sabelt wheel really suits the car and makes it more enjoyable to drive.
Also the painted gearknob is a very nice touch! Really liking it
Yes Ash, that's exactly what I done. The ktec system i have is sleeved where it meets the cat. The piece of stainless 2 1/2" I used was 13cm long. Any decent exhaust maker will be able to do this for you.
Your car is coming along lovely! Best of luck and health to enjoy!
Ash J, the pure Motorsport part is an expensive way of doing it. You can do it by just welding the 2 1/2" pipe directly onto the end of the cat. The PM part replaces the end of the cat - which isn't needed. If the cat is cut tight to the lambda boss then this opens it up to 2 1/2" and still...
I got the stiff shift 3.0. There is an aluminium piece that clamps around the plastic pivot at the bottom of the gearlever that you can loosen/tighten, that allows you to adjust the stiffness/force required to change gear. Tbh I have not adjusted it since fitting.
I would recommend getting a...
Agree with this totally. I would imagine any 'enthusiasts' considering buying this car would see it on PH or Cliosport. When I was looking for a Trophy I kept checking this forum, cliosport, PH and also eBay occasionally.
Excellent work! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on how the car feels after the suspension changes. The Ast top mounts seem like a great piece of kit. Where did you order yours from?
If the stainless cat-back that you have is 2 1/2" then it might be worth getting the cat modified, so that the outlet is 2 1/2". The standard cat has a 2" outlet, apparently to help the cat warm up quicker. Making this outlet 2 1/2" to match the rest of the cat back system will help improve...
I just changed to a Sabelt wheel and I think it really makes a difference to how the car feels to drive! The wheel itself is smaller and is contoured at the quarter to three positions to fit your hands perfectly. Also because it's smaller, the steering feels slightly heavier but the car feels...
