What a git, o/s has given up on me, so will be refurbing v soon.
Like many I will be replacing with cup dampers for the mean time and will keep them on for the winter.
Now this may sound silly, but if I have them refurbed and leave them off the car for the next 5 months, would they seize up...
Hi chaps, as above, does this work, anyone tried it? Or is it not a plug and play system? A mate of mine is looking to buy one and with the price of sachs needing a refurb being quite reasonable he was wondering if it can be done? More of a cliosport question I know but I haven't joined yet...
I couldnt find that clamp anywhere, I was typing in all sorts of names in google only to finally find out that it's name on ebay was "69mm Renault exhaust clamp", how very simple! All I kept coming across were 'u-clamps', I'll let you know how it goes after fitting.
Thanks again
Luke
Ok sweet, thanks a lot mate, I'll follow that guide, sounds like you've done a pretty good job, pictures have expired though, but I'll get the grip of it once under the car. Trying to find that clamp online is a bugger, but I'll get one from somewhere.
Cheers jonc
Luke
Ah yes, thats jogged my memory, about sensor not being this side of the cat, I did read that somewhere im sure, excuse my novice-ness, I'm very new to the trophy so its all a learning curve. Ok thats brilliant mate, thanks very much, I appreciate it, one last thing, off the top of your head do...
When you fitted it jonc did you use any sort of silicone or sealant at the join to the cat? I've heard it can be a bit of a sod and can leak etc. So would like to seal it with something flexible and heat resistant. If possible. However, I read somewhere that a high temp silicone could damage the...
I know theres plenty of threads on exhaust choices here but it's time for me to invest in a new one as mine is starting to look and sound pretty tired, slight rattle and movement under center section. I don't want it to be loud so it seems like either of these is the choice, is any one quieter...
Haha, I feel silly now, I assumed "open pit eve" was an abbreviation for 'event', I now understand. I'll look into a day session then.
Thanks for the advice, after looking into it the brakes were about the only thing I was worried about, went to Bedford a while back with my mate in his 350z...
Hi guys, title says it all. It's only a thought in the pipeline as I've just stumbled on what looks like a bargain at snetterton, £49 for the day, 15 may. Thing is, my car is absolutely standard, and I don't plan on modding, but I just want to see what the trophy can do in a safe environment. I...
An r390 is pretty special! I once followed an original (or at least I thought original) gt40, all the way to it's house, it was an average Joe housing estate, and a lad I went to school come to the front door to greet his dad home... I asked him if it was real, it was a replica :( took the jam...
Being near to London I have seen cars of all kinds, new exotics to pristine cossies and classic astons. mp4 12c is a beaut, speed 12 is way up there - good spot. West London during the summer is the place for exotics, most on middle eastern number plates.
I'll start by saying good thread, this could bring some good replies in! i could go on with a list as long as my arm, i cant remember anywhere near all of them.
saw a morgan 3 wheeler today actually which was interesting, gt3 rs 4.0 a little while ago, ferrari f40 and f50 AND enzo in my home...
Wahey, first one I've seen driving since I've had mine :) looked nice, it's good seeing another one on the road. I didn't flash as I only caught a 2second glimpse and the central reservation was in the way.
Anyone on here??
This is an interesting thread, I've not yet had anything like this, though I have had someone kick my wing mirror in, luckily causing no visible damage. The local boy racers tend to try to egg me on. Also, if i overtake someone I get flashed regardless of how safe it is. I dare say if you were...
Yeah it still looks great, and no it's still standard. I don't plan to really. Since I've had it I've replaced the front wheel bearings as NS had gone, and after the snowy spell and abundance of potholes forming I had an OSF blowout, alloy didn't receive any damage though so I count myself...
there used to be one in fyfield, along with a v8 esprit and s2 elise, nice selection! you live in stortford nbc? im down the road in dunmow, ill look out for you.
