Timing belts isn't the only important thing to look out for on these cars IMO. Has either of them had the Sachs refurbished? Also mileage isn't really an issue with RS Clio's as long as they've been maintained.
I would keep it standard suspension wise personally. I had MF springs, rear Koni shocks and a Whiteline arb and found it far too harsh for road use and also a bit skitty at the rear. I put it back to standard and it was loads better.
You will be running a lot more torque than my megane does though I assume. I have the torque capped at 300 ftlbs as the standard con rods are made if cheese but if since had Manley forged rods fitted so I could probably get it pushed around 320/330 ftlbs.
Lol no bother mate.
Yeah the megane goes along nicely with the power it's got and there's not even a hint of torque steer either. Unbelievably capable car and it's actually quite scary the amount of speed you can carry through a corner compared to the clios.
If that question was for me then I've moved on to a 225 cup and I'm loving having the extra power (270bhp).
That's news to me about the Trophy having a different map to a normal 182. Where did you hear that?
By a 2nd set of Sachs and have them refurbished if you plan on selling it on in the future or if its a keep coilovers would be a good shout something like H&R's or the Spax rsx kit are supposed to be good from what I've read.
Yeah your fucked mate ;) don't quote me on the 200 bhp limit but I'm pretty sure that's what the guy told me it would be with my trophy before they started charging for mods. I could be completely wrong though.
Yeah they do I think the limit is like 200 bhp which your not going to get near in a trophy unless you spend serious dough. They are great a great company to deal with.
I would really consider Jon's Trophy if I were you. Mileage really doesn't matter on these cars infact I would rather have one with a good mileage on it tbh.
Vast majority don't though. I don't see the problem with xenons/hids in projector head lamps as they don't blind you but when you have folk that fit hids to normal halogen head lamps that's when you get blinded.
Being completely honest I would leave the standard setup on. I wouldn't say the Koni's and Mark Fish springs ruined the ride but personally I thought the standard setup was better.
