No it's not height adjustable, the back tilts and it moves forward and back plus the font of the seat pulls out to give more support if you have long legs, but that's it.
Mines not leaking oil but had lost gas pressure you can tell this my pushing down on each wing occurs firm then gas pressure is okay if it bounces then it's due a refurb the difference from firm to bouncy is obvious.
As a rough guide ppl say they should be refurbed around 50k if no ovious signs...
Glad to hear mine will be goin off soon, obviously u had adjuster upgrade, did u have new springs fitted ? How much did it cost and how long did it take to turn around ?
Cheers
Had a reply from Ktec. :
HI there, you are correct in that the Trohpy rear dampers are different. Renault have been known to supply the182/cup rear dampers to Trophy customers, mainly to those who wish to save money as the Trophy ones cost twice as much as the Cup versions. As long as you...
How u manage that Ive just been down to the stealers, asked for price for rear dampers, just gave them reg number and they gave me the price of the cup ones which were 68 each. When I gave him the correct part number they were 136.65 each. I asked him for a price for the fronts which is when he...
From everything I've found out so far, the conclusion I've come to is that the trophy rear dampers ARE indeed different to that of the 182 sport and the 182 cup as they are black, don't have the sachs label on, are less than half the price and they have different part numbers to the trophy ones...
I've just noticed Ktec are selling OEM rear dampers for 172/172cup/182 and a separate item listed for the 182 cup there both black if the pics are correct and they only cost £57.60 including vat so I'm guessing none of them are correct for the trophy.
I've mailed them to find out.
Now I'm confused, so is the part no. In the first post on this thread wrong and ur saying there the same as the cups not the 182 however earlier in the thread someone said Reno fitted them cup ones which were wrong and had them changed to 182 dampers.
I don't know wot to believe lol
Wots the deal with the trophy rear dampers, some ppl say there the same as either the 182 or the cup rears (can't remember which) but with a different sticker on, and some ppl say there different altogether on the t !
Any ideas ?
That certainly sounds phesible might think about budgeting for new rears aswell then.
I did ask Ben at BG if it would be nessisary to replace the rears he said
"We only tend to re- build the fronts, the rears are more economical to replace for new if you suspect they have a problem. Normally...
Alot of ppl seem to get there dampers refurbed by BG and say the same thing that the handling is shot! I'm not saying it's BG's fault at all it's just there is a pattern forming some reason, I doubt it would be the rears causing it if it was driving okay before the refurb.
Maybe it's down to...
I gotta say, I've known the seals on my passenger side have leaked as it's got more bounce than a sprung matteress, and a refurb is next on my list after getting the de-phasser pulley done next wk.
However other than the car skipping across the road abit on a bumpy corner ive not had any...
Hi, I like a bit of bass to and I'm also little to old for cruising around car parks late a night lol but I fitted a sub, yeah it adds weight but not alot it's only small plus if I want to use the car properly on a track, it unplugs and lifts out in 2 mins.
Anyway the simple way to do it is...
Just another point of view I have the Ktec ultra performance without the centre silencer about 3 months now. Fitted fine no probs sounds lush Many ppl have commented it doesn't sound anything like the standard one I'd say they got the noise level just right, for normal driving u get a powerful...

I've recently put two new ps3's on the front. Am very pleased, would say there better all round compared to the pe2's especially in the wet. Not had them long enough to comment on wear rate yet. Pretty sure they don't make the pe2's to fit the 16" wheel anymore.
Hi guys, I'm gonna get my dampers re-furbed soon by BG and then get the geo and ball joints done by Ktec.
I was planning on keeping everything to OE spec i.e not underpinning dampers and leaving springs and rear dampers alone. Ben @ BG asked me if I wanted a camber kit fitted, but as I...
Hi, the Clio trophy is the closest you'll get to the old 205 gti experience, ( it's alot more forgiving when on the limit, it will let you know gracefully instead of just letting go) Its not ideal as a daily driver as the ride is quite harsh at times especially at low speeds it gets better the...
