funnily enough I went searching for these recently. The gsf ones for 99p are long gone but the same part number can be found on ebay. I got a pair and fitted them this morning...
Fitted them today, had a mooch looking for dust covers as one had perished and the other wasnt far away, the Passat Feb ones are a bit tougher to find than 99p from gsf as they a re long gone - ended up with a pair from ebay...
I have just had my set rebuild by cooksport. Drivers side had a leak. Spoke to them beforehand they contacted me the day after they got them to confirm receipt and identified a scratch on the shaft which can be polished out. Work was done in the week and they were contacting me 5 days later for...

The stalk control runs directly to a connector on the back of the clock, there is also a 2nd connector which runs to the yellow mini iso connector on the back of the radio. I believe this is a very basic canbus setup. I may be a connector but they are fiddly buggers which dont...
I have started a separate thread re housekeeping and some more info regarding my rebuild

Hi
I have recently received my dampers back from Simon @ Cornering Force in Yorks.
I have had several phone conversations with him, mithering him with questions and understanding what happens and what to expect.
For background, he is a very knowledgeable chap and is involved in the Amd Golf...
Got my refurbed dampers back from Cornering Force this morning and are now fitted :)
I have had several conversations with Simon there who is a very knowledgable and helpful guy - I urge anyone thinking of having them done to ask him.
Interestingly, mine have been returned with the damping...
Personally, if you are going to the hassle of fitting some half decent Pads, then spending the relatively small amount on decent fluid and braided lines is a no brainer ! I did then on my 172 after my 1st trackday when I witnessed brake fade for the first time. If road car then not required...
from memory, they are inbuilt into the fuel tank. I tried to change one on my old 172 and think supplied ones are for lower spec clio or older models ?
I do seem to remember seeing jackpot lights when I took my passenger seat out before bypassing with resistor. Depending on how accessible would try replacing resistors to make sure everything ok
depends on how he had bypassed them. Correct way is to have Renault connect their 'clip' and disable steering wheel airbag. other way is to insert a 3 ohm resistor into the connector so ecu still thinks airbag is still present.
I thought that there was a fair bit of research including dyno results of IK vs Panel filter showing that the differences were nominal and that in certain conditions an IK gave worse results due to heat soak (think may have been a CS thread).
Conclusion is std airbox setup is very good and main...
Hi Welcome to the forum and dont forget to update the status of #151 on the owners register :)
1) 'Most' people here opt for Brembo discs front - either high carbon (HC) or grooved generally as they are very similar to OEM but significantly cheaper. Pad wise, you will always get some squeal /...
FYI I was hoping a local company 'Penske Racing' who do racing dampers would look at rebuilding them but I have had an email today saying they will only touch their own stuff.
I spoke to Fred @ BTM regarding this matter last week and he advised that any decent company should be ok as long as...
Funny, I was looking at doing something similar. I have contacted a company and trying to get them to visit here regarding offereng such a service.
Rob
I concur dampers dont always need doing @ set milage - it depends how it has been driven.
I also concur that service at BTM willl be as good as it can be, if in doubt give Fred a ring as he is a rather helpful person :)
similar to ^. My very late 172 had this which was a 'break' in the metallic covering in the glass which aids radio / electromagnetic waves used for either gps devices (my tomtom was mounted there) which didnt work if placed elsewhere. I assume windscreen must have been replaced as not standard...
