I have owned it's replacement for a month now. It's .....erm...... a Volvo S40 2.0D Sport
Needs must! With an 19 month old daughter, another on the way, and an 80 mile a day commute across fen back roads, the Trophy's days were always numbered! It was only ever going to be a...
Sorry, car is now sold. Just watched it drive off down my road for the last time.
Hope the new owner, Ben, enjoys it, I'm sure he'll be along soon to introduce himself! (I feel sorry for his Dad - Devon to Cambridgeshire and back in a transit van!)
That 205 is lovely, but you have to be a real fan to spend £10k. I wonder what it actually sold for? I'd love a 205 GTI, but I think one that mint couldn't be driven as it should. Shame to see it spend it's life being polished and stored, in my opinion.
Back to the original topic....bump! Does...
Price drop to £4400. Open to offers, as the replacement car has now been bought.
Car now has MoT until 6th October 2012, and the rear discs and pads have now been fitted.
The car was also serviced last week at 66k.
No, sorry, I bought it with the Yozzasport fitted. However, the Yozza is very sought after, so a swap for an original (plus cash this way) or a quieter stainless shouldn't be a problem on here or Cliosport.
I have finally found time to give the car a quick polish and get some photos taken. I've had a few busy weekends up to now! The car I had planned to buy before was sold the next day, but I finally found and bought a replacement (a diesel) yesterday. Will hopefully be picking the new car...
I think it came off worse to be honest! It was one of those classic swerve left, rabbit goes left, swerve right, rabbit goes right, BANG moments! I was not impressed!
Unfortunately, the time has come where I can't put this off any longer, it is with great regret that I am offering my Trophy up for sale.
I need a 5 door car, as running my 16 month old daughter around in the back is just not practical, and with a long term back injury, I find it painful...
Doh! That'll teach me for not visiting for a couple of weeks! I would've had this in a shot! I assume it's gone now?
If I decide to keep my T, I want a 192 to replace my Yozza. (Trying to pursuade the missus that I could keep the T, and she should get something to replace her gutless 1.6 Focus)
No, I've still got it! There was a guy who swapped for a 200, but he wasn't from Warboys.
I will possibly be selling soon - it's not practical for:
-early morning start ups (Yozzasport wakes the neighbours!)
-an 80 mile a day commute across the worst fen roads!
-fitting a child seat in the...
Yeah, that was me! I can't see the photo you've got (MoD firewall blocks all image sharing sites) but I probably have a very similar pic on my iphone too!
I had not seen another T on the road since buying mine, then saw yours, plus 6 or 7 others in and around Silverstone!
ETA: just seen your...
Aucky: Yozzasport website seems to be down at the moment, although it was working a few days ago, so may be temporary.
I am seriously considering swapping my Yozza for something quieter, so may be selling soon. Not sure how easy it will be to courier to France though.
I spotted T300PHY parked up outside Karting Nord campsite, at the Le Mans Classic this weekend. Saw it on two days, Sat/Sun I think? Could've been Fri/Sat.
How did you find the race/event? It was my first time at the Classic, (been to the main 24 hr race about 7 times before.) and I absolutely...
Just spotted this for sale on PistonHeads:

Very low mileage, definitely a good one for a collector, as a 2nd car, or even someone who isn't doing 80 miles a day like myself!
I've got no connection to the seller, and I haven't seen it in the flesh...
Wow, looks good! That's some serious shine! The headlight washer jets painted look good too.
Oh, the bumper inserts info can be found here:

I saw this the other day, and thought it was cheap, even for a cat D. I suppose half of the perceived value of the Trophy is in it's potential as a future classic/cult car, and a cat D is very undesirable.
Also, if it only needs an £80 lambda sensor, why not replace it? That's surely enough to...
I've often wondered this about the Trophy - How much more than a FF182 was it? Obviously it's missing some of the more expensive options such as xenons, but the cost of the seats and dampers must've eaten into the profit margins!
From what I've seen on CS, they're about £20 from Renault. Haven't seen the part no mentioned though - and some people seemed to think they only came attached to a new bumper! Do a search on CS for bumper stickers, there are a few threads on there.
I assume he means the ones at either end of the narrow grille above the front numberplate. As shown here:

ETA: If that is what you're after billy, there's a guy on CS who was selling carbon ones if you...
I don't know whether an OBDII reader can turn off service lights, I think it's more for fault lights.
It could be that the light has come on because....oh, I don't know.....the car needs a service!?
You can buy an OBDII reader from ebay for about £20, allows you to check the fault code, and then reset it, which will turn off the light. A useful tool to have.
Russ,
Loads of info on this on Cliosport.net, here's a few pics from the 16 page thread on it:

There was a white set of these on CS forum for sale recently. I was too slow, unfortunately. I think they'd look great (as trackday wheels, not everyday wheels)
