The original batt was still delivering but getting a little lazy on first start in the mornings (even though, generally, I don't do mornings!) so, pre- winter and after 8 years (good for the original battery) I got a new one today for the equivalent of 65 quid - bet I'll not be alone once this...
Went out for a blat today and noticed my little display that tells you the temp/time/radio info wasn't working (blank screen) then noticed the radio remote on the steering column was dead too. Radio/CD working fine, everything else on the car working fine. Fuses checked all OK; took off the...
Air con not working - hoping it's just in need of a re-gas. Apart from it not getting cold,:On tickover, when you turn on the aircon via the button, there is no drop in revs as I'd expect as the compressor kicks in. Anyone else had similar??
Drives better, a few more ponies on the power run (dyno'd) but........ The best bit... The sound is fuggin awesome !!! ;)(vowed never to use that word but nowt else would do)
A mate of mine here (a garage owner) just asked me to see if I could find him a cheaper price in blighty for a 2009 Honda Civic diesel particle filter........5000 (yes three zeros) euros!!! The best I could find was 4100 quid
Never was an oil burner fan but this convinces me it's never...
Always good to see a new photo or two, click on photo to enlarge :-) ........
Front shox (re-furbed and de-pinned) were set on about 25 clicks on all these photos - need to do some more with them much harder..
Loving my new Momo steering wheel btw! (pic in "my Garage")...
Shocks refurbished, new wishbones and balljoints, reset geometry, driving to a trackday and there was a little clonk every now and then over bumps; thinks - STM's??? nope;-
Took off wheels and checked the front pads and look what I found!

Anyone tried Federal 595 RS-R's : semi slicks like R888's - they are significantly cheaper than Toyo's and seem to get good write up's elsewhere. I'm need a new set of track only rubber (was on 888's) and might try them ????
A damp friday at Pau Arnos for my once a month track day - great fun though on the road tyres :)

Anyone decided to replace the clutch yet??
50 k on mine, no probs other than it squeaks when it's hot on the track ( never on the road) - thinking of doing it anyhow.
Any thoughts, 5 years now folks: it's about time maybe????
Interesting article in the June magazine comparing the 200 cup and the 172 cup; 200 was 1.5 secs a lap quicker due to its "trick front suspension system and brakes" but the 172 was "more fun" ( I paraphrase). I believe Mr Metcalfe, who has some standing within said mag, owns a Trophy; I wonder...
Just thought I'd let you all know, Monaco is pleasant this evening and the med was warm when I had a swim this afternoon!
Practice tomorrow, should be good ! ;-)
Another trackday today here in sunny SW France - first outing with the 15" rims and 888's. They were superb, a good 2 to 3 seconds a lap quicker than the Exaltos on Turinis - however some of that might have been me getting more used to the T.
Tinker might be better placed to comment as he had...
Told you I had a strange wheel question....
The Ski season's just about over now here (maybe one or two more chances but it's getting warm now) - I read in the owners manual that one cannot fit Snow Chains to the Trophy (or the 182 either I think), this is a bummer if I want to use the T to go...
OK - It's easy so I won't even post the question - maximise the photo to have a good look then complete the answer:
The wheels in the photo are ****** ** *** **** ****.
Just to assist - I got my track wheels/Tyres Speedline corse 2118's 15 inch rims with Toyo R888 GG (195/50/15).
Tried...
Not really a new topic, but I did a search and came up with nothing..
My wheel, like lots of others, has seen better days and I want to change it - Anyone know if the 197 or 200 steering wheel fits the T? - I want to keep the cruise control/airbag if poss. #-o

Bottom of the page (3) a little vid from yesterdays trackday (my first in the T) taken from a Clio 197 (or 200 - I'm not sure)
a bit damp but not too slippy. I slowed at the end to cool the brakes before coming in - not a breakdown! 8)

Fitted the top mounts, camber bolts and strut brace today - geo check tomorrow, had a drive feels pretty good but who can tell on the road, track day on the 24th so that will be a good test. Thinking that the shocks might need a refurb now though, as one had a faint sign of oil mist on the base...
