a82 from fort william up to inverness is great if you get it clear of traffic.
a87 is a great road i would add that starting on the a887 is even better, just watch for the single track bits.
a816 oban to lochgilphead
a815 invereary to dunoon
a84 & a85 crainlarach to crieff/doune roads
a70 m74...
right folks back in the country and car is ready to go. over 1000 views of this for sale ad and nobody has picked up the phone to ask any questions. give me a ring and come and see it.
2 x a048 for £75 is decent. others also.
just watch for the measurements on motorsport tyres. sidewall and width can be different mm/cm/inches which needs some investigation to work out "what's, what" and close to what you want...
not come across those tyres yet. check the reviews online to see what gets said about them.
shand can be cheap way of getting good track tyres. the scottish mini championship use 195/50/15 a048 as control tyres, if you know folk in it then you an pick up cheap tyres. it's a pain but changing...
what tyre style and compound is it?
depends if you want to go road legal or not. toyo r888, or there are some others by hankook, kumho, avon, and some premium brands. some road legal some not.
maxsport/indy sport, type of intermediate tarmac rally tyre are also worth a look...
if your interested in the car give me a shout as i will be away in the car next week for 10days and expect to put a few more miles on the clock! if not sold before i go it will go for a full clean @ www.paulpeacocke.co.uk when i am back to get her cleaned before sale again.
as above. split the £250, so £125 each. if your not wanting them at that price i'll stick them up my loft till nov and sell for £160+ on ebay as soon as the frost hits & snow starts falling!
forgot to say chaps, i am away next week for 10days and have a mega busy few days ahead. so i only have sat morning to get the rims split and packaged for courier collection on Monday/Tuesday. if not it will be WC 13 May before i can get them done and out.
ideally i would sell together but if i can line up tyres and wheels to separate buyers then all the better. i will need to pay my tyre guy £10 to pop the tyres off but i'll cover that.
hows about we go for even split at £125 each? you can collect, pay for courier yourself or i can arrange one...
sure do. details here. http://www.cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/51804-15-quot-Oz-F1-wheels-and-winter-tyres
pm or give me a ring if interested. ta
car still here. don't be afraid to travel and see this car folks. 002 is for sale at near £5k at a dealers and is in very poor condition according to the reports. this car will cost you £500 more and will come with a folder of receipts.
give me a call if you want to know anything.
Oz F1's, winter tyres and DS2500 pads now up for sale separately.
Car reduced to £5,555. come and see it you won't be disappointed. it's 10 times better than #002 which is for sale for £5k in a Renault garage and sounds/looks like it needs several £k throwing at it!
got these for the clio after suffering 2 winters with poor grip on the michelins. 4x 15" pirelli snow control tyres and genuine Oz F1 wheels. the tyres give increased grip over the michelins in anything below 8 degrees. in retrospect, well worth the investment to get better grip over winter...
i took these front pads off the car last month to put new discs and pads on the car. i was going to include in sale price for the car but no interest in the car means I'll sell these separately and reduce the price of the car.
there is 9mm - 10mm left on each pad, front pads are circa 17mm...
car still here and looking for a good home. going to put the wheels and pads up for sale separately. this will reduce asking price which is negotiable so get in touch if it's of interest. i could do with new (bigger) car before a trip to Ireland at start of May!
same as before, buy the best you can. at the lower end of the market expect problems and unloved bodywork. bottom end of the market might be best for a track car but if your not going to do things yourself and parts are in poor condition = it will cost you more to get it fixed.
springs appear to be mark fish variant not eibach which makes sense, it's similar to my mk1 gti but not as extreme (i run 350lb front and 600lb rear!). will try and get the numbers off them later and decode the spring rates.
some interior pictures, sorry about the crap quality. my phone camera...
i wasn't aware there was a different set up so thanks for the heads up. will check the docs later and see what it was that got fitted. take it he is sourcing springs from faulkner or similar to his spec then?
