Barn Find 31k Trophy on eBay

Most collectable cars have higher numbers of owners. Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini are probably some of the worst! People buy them, maintain them to a high standard with no expense spared, enjoy them, do limited miles in them and then sell them on usually not losing much in the way of value in...

#218 FOR SALE £13,250 No Offers

After recently making two further car acquisitions, with another one in the pipeline, I have run out of space in my storage facilities and so I am having sell a number of cars out of my collection. This being one of them. This car went through the Collecting Cars website earlier in the year...

I am friends with the owner of the dealership and apparently it sold at that price.

    Trophy's on 'Collecting Cars'.

Well, it would certainly be harder to justify asking for 10k+ for others of similar condition or higher mileage anyway….

    Trophy's on 'Collecting Cars'.

Im not sure what you didn’t understand about my last sentence? If I advertised the three Trophy’s in my collection for £7k each it would surely have some level of impact on the market values for all cars.

    Thought you would like this!

I love it. I would definitely buy one too!

    Trophy's on 'Collecting Cars'.

Ahhh, found your ‘advert’ - £14.5k for £70k+ miles? I mean I won’t pull apart your detailed advert like you did when a dealer put one of my cars up for£400 more than you’re advertising for with less miles and after I spent nearly £6k on it. But now I’m curious, if you think the on collecting...

    Trophy Price

My very nice one was only advertised for a couple of weeks with the dealer friend of mine before I took it with me when I relocated to the highlands. Its currently sat in storage with the rest of my cars. Not got round to doing anything with it yet.

    £22k Trophy

I know both the owner of Millennium Heroes and the previous owner of the car. The car is a stock car and owned by Millennium Heroes and as a collector myself, this is the most original example I have seen (even with the Speedline details on the wheels) since they were launched in 2005. I don't...

    #42 on Collecting Cars.

I pulled out when I got to £12k. Needs too much money spending to get it to my standard and I wouldn't see my money back any time soon on it. However, I did buy a 19k mile 172 Cup yesterday and fired up my other Trophy (Number 172) and its misfiring. Love these cars!

    Trophy on Pistonheads - £15,995

There’s no smoke and mirror stuff. I bought this car last year, have done a lot to it, and it’s for sale on a sale or return basis with a friend of mine who owns a good car dealership and sells a lot of special Renaults. Nothing more to it than that. If it sells it sells, it’ll be good news for...

    Trophy on Pistonheads - £15,995

Perhaps he should have called it a sympathetic restoration. My interpretation of what I had done is that’s it’s sympathetic to the cars natural condition with mechanical and cosmetic work to a high standard rather than a full nut and bolt restoration. I could have just had it serviced, butI...

    Trophy on Pistonheads - £15,995

The prices of a lot of cars like the Trophy have risen sharply over the last 12-18months. I think due to the pandemic there are a lot of people with money burning a hole in their pockets (from saving on not going on holiday, meals out, weekends away etc) and also the appreciation of values in...

Nah, I just threw a bucket of water over it, cleared all the fault codes and hand wrote a note saying "Dun sum wrk, cost 6 bags" and then gave it to my friend for him to sell... In all seriousness, its so good that Im 50/50 as to whether to keep it. Its worth £16k and its only going to...

    Trophy on Pistonheads - £15,995

Nope, I sold it last year. He then sold it to a guy and its come back to the market again. Really the car has to go to a collector, its just too good to use. Due to my imminent relocation to the highlands, I have sold most of my cars....... In fact I am currently sat in a B&B waiting to find...

    Trophy on Pistonheads - £15,995

The car wasn't anything like it looked like in the photos when I bought it. The deeper you dig when having a car done the more you find and as most of you know, I have very very high standards. Unfortunately it needed paint, and that wasn't cheap. Its had everything else it could possibly need...

    Trophy on Pistonheads - £15,995

It’s actually my other Trophy and it was me who spent nearly £6k on the soft restoration. I also collected the 11k mile one for a client and this car is just as good. The splitter is actually from a Clio Cup Race Car, it’s not off a fabia. This was originally owned by the owner of Pyro...
