Hanging up my boots for a while at least. Just became grandparents to a beautiful grand daughter for the first time 12 weeks ago so will be on 2 days a week duty from next April.
Special times ahead!
Enjoy your Trophy and enjoy every moment. It is definitely worth it.
Kind regards
Hugh
Thanks Nick
I am pleased that the cost of the work (excl. labour😁) that has gone into it over the last 3 years of ownership has just been covered.
It has given me immense pleasure bringing it to this condition and being part of the Trophy community which for c£1800 p.a. based on the original...
I had it on eBay for 20 days but as stated previously I think it is the wrong platform for our beloved Trophy!
Sorry you didn't see the eBay advert but the best of luck with your bidding.
Regards
Hugh
Nick
Thanks for your kind words.
As I have said before I hope I get a fair price but more importantly it goes to a good home and an owner that appreciates it and uses it as it is meant to be used and of course looks after it.
Regards
Hugh
Thanks to all for the kind words and likes. Very much appreciated and only what I have been used to over the past 3 .5 years from a really committed, enthusiastic and knowledgeable forum community.
The Collecting Cars auction has now started and the advert write they posted has been very well...
077 is now posted in the 'Coming soon' section of Collecting Cars with the write-up being prepared and the Auction due to go live in 7 - 10 days.
I know a 'sale is a sale' but I hope it is bought by someone who appreciates what Trophys are all about, the restoration work done and someone who...
Strange thing selling cars as a non-motor trade privateer!
Had no interest from anyone on the forum and then two lots of 10 day adverts on eBay resulted in 1500 - 2000 views and circa. 100 Watchers each time.
However, apart from one enthusiastic viewer who couldn’t realise the sale there were...
Two other items now for sale;

I have the following genuine Renault Workshop Tooling for sale. Both items have only been used once but were invaluable at the time
1. Anti-Roll Bar Inner Bush Bracket fitting tool R00 00141 401 This is used to compress the inner bush and at the same time align the bracket to enable the...
That’s a great modification and a really professional install.
Where did you find out about it?
These valves ought to be fitted as standard.
Nice work!
After nearly 3 ½ years of rewarding ownership, I reluctantly have to put my Trophy Serial Number 077 up for saleThe current mileage is 109,795.
The work done to the car during my tenure since March 2018 is well documented in the ‘Trophy Owners Register ‘part of this forum.
All previous owners...
Nick. Before we go any further go on to ‘Trophy Owners Register’ section of the forum and find 077 then you can read all about it and then give me another PM if you are still interested.
The latest vid entitled ‘GR Yaris father and son review’ is worth a watch.
The best bit is at c27 minutes in when the subject of comparison with their Clio Trophy is raised by Harry.
It’s what is not said that is amusing as it seems to me that ‘son’ wanted to say that he enjoyed all aspects of...
That sounds and looks like a very challenging install but the end result looks very O.E.M. and will I’m sure provide the directional cooling that you are after.
It will be interesting to know over time if you find benefit under extreme driving conditions.
Well done! Really nice work??
They are listed at £17.58 for 100off!
I have sent them an enquiry to see if they can be obtained or if it is an out of date listing.
If/when I get a reply I will let you know.
Thanks
MC1. Thank you for your reply. There is nothing like first hand experience with these matters.
I will take your advice and tap up my local dealership to see if they have any left and if they will let me have one.
Thanks again!
My understanding is that it is a genuine Renault plate and part number.
It is only fitted when a vehicle recall campaign is enacted by Renault dealerships following a Renault recall notification for mod/ upgrade.
The cross in the K4 box on mine I believe confirms the replacement of the bonnet...
I am in the process of replacing the bonnet (usual rust beetle at OSF leading edge) for a new genuine Renault one.
To maintain the vehicle authenticity I would like a replacement Recall Mod Plate Part Number 4939031079.
Does anyone have access to one of these? I have Googled the part number...
I had these plates replaced in Aug 2020 following a thread from Frayz who had the same done.
The plate in question can be seen (albeit with VIN number hazed out) in my thread for 077 dated 13th Aug 2020.
Contact details referred to in the text.
Hope this helps.
Can’t wait for Tier 4 round us if that’s the result. Amazing job! That took time, knowledge and dedication. A rattle free dash - something we all could do with??. Well done!
