Changing from a Civic Type R to a Trophy?

    Still a concept IIRC

Changing from a Civic Type R to a Trophy?

Spot on. The torque of the F4R and the lighter weight of the trophy make it more useable.

Changing from a Civic Type R to a Trophy?

CTR box is stonking. Renault really missed a trick putting a 5spd in the trophy.

Changing from a Civic Type R to a Trophy?

Trophy has a better engine, better handling and is more useable day to day. CTR has a better gearbox, much more room and is better at high speed.

    Cheers Gordon....

You are paying more tax because you have a more polluting car. Nothing to do with the roads. Get over it or just buy a fucking prius.

    Carbon fibre bonnet

Replace the seats, remove interior trim, remove abs, remove foglamps, remove PAS, remove electric windows, replace steering wheel, etc etc. One big problem with CF bonnets is they arent usually sturdy enough to fit the bonnet catch to, so you will need bonnet pins. Which isnt at all secure...

    trophy v's cooper s

Street racing posts are utterly utterly utterly pointless, people posting them deserve a lifetime subscription to max power, but i will say that the suspension in the cooper s is harsh as anything, its like driving over cobbles constantly. I doubt its stiffer than the Trophys, its just the...

More power on second Dyno run?

Heat in the tyres? (if you want more power on a dyno run, put 50psi in your tyres) Oil hotter and so thinner? Dyno figures are subject to such variation that their figures are useless really as anything other than a finger in the air before/after mods. Its why it makes me laugh lots when...

    Trackday insurance

I used to think that Oli. A couple of years later, 20-odd trackdays under my belt i had a slight moment, that ended up in a seven grand bill. Yes. Ouch. You never think its going to happen to you until it does. Insurers arent stupid. Tyrewalls, armco etc make easily identifyable...

Warranty void after a track session?

    Pure marketing. Trackdays are fashionable.

Warranty void after a track session?

Spot on. GT3-RS/RA Scooby is a road car produced to homologate a racing/rally car. An Exige is a road car. (an exige with a different engine, different suspension, different wheels & tyres & different brakes is pretty much a track car though...) The Clio is nothing like a true track car...

Warranty void after a track session?

No road car is "built to do trackdays". Legally, they could refuse to honour your warranty. But they seem to encourage them with their other hand, so i doubt youd have any issues.

No clio content, but the trackday addicts may like this

A mate of mine works in animation for movie companies, and puts together a video each year of the years trackdays done by our circle of friends. "Approximately 4 weeks in the making, video clips taken from over 25 hours worth of footage, 20 individual music tracks professionally mixed, 10...
