So my poor bonnets been damaged and it needs replacing.

What's the best way to go about it? Find a trophy one? Any capsicum red one? With either of these I imagine it will need paint as its unlikely to match. Shall I just get a used bonnet with no dents and get it sprayed? Also considering just getting the whole front end done as its got chips etc anyway.

Sorry for all the questions but need some advice!

Brand new from Renault I've been quoted 230 + vat. non genuine the guy quoted 36 + VAT. Or used is variable. I'm guessing Renault genuine is the best choice but how much worse would/could the non genuine be?!

I would get a second hand on and get a body shop to take out any dents and paint match it! You could get one for £20-30 max and then get it painted for probably £100 tops

James, I'd also get one from a 182 being broken, and get it sprayed.

Cheers for replies guys. There's a 'new' Clio in a scrapyard up the road from me so I'll pop by and check it for dents tomorrow if I can.

Been quoted 700 - 800 for a full front end respray. Makes sense to get rid of the stone chips while I'm at it, I think!

It's a good price to be honest that. All I've heard though is you get what you pay for so I'm reluctant to scrimp.

Don’t get a pattern one, it’s a sweeping statement but most of them dint if you even breath on them. I’ve compared them side by side and the genuine one is loads better
