That's it I've actually finished- I think !

I remembered today that I hadn't taken the side mouldings off the Trophy. Well an hours effort with screwdriver, masking tape, soapy water, scrubbing brush and wax and all back together with 12 years of road muck gone.

I think I wrote a guide, they are quite easy to remove

Open the door and you will see a 1/2" round bung on the back of the trim piece below the door lock catch. Pull it out. Look into the hole and you will see a 5mm peg which is actually attached to the trim but clicks through a hole in the door skin, with a small screwdriver press that peg through the hole outwards, at the same time you have to slide the trim backwards on the door, the easiest way I've found is to use a large flat bladed screwdriver in the 1/2" hole and twist it against the larger heart shaped peg, you can pull the strip back by hand but I found the screwdriver method easiest with a bit of cloth round the end. At that point the trim will come away from the car.

For the rear quarter trim get on your knees and look underneath the trim, about 2" back from the door shut you will see a small elongated slot. Look at the peg system you pushed out on the front door trim and that is what is above the slot in the back trim, that will give you a picture of what you have to do to relaease the rear trim i.e. I put a couple of strips of masking tape on the panel below the hole then inserted a small screwdriver up into the slot, feel for the aforementioned peg and press it towards yourself at the same time slide the trim to the front of the car, hey presto.

You can then remove the badge from the front trim using a small flat blade screwdriver easing the 3 clips free.

Then marvel at the amount of muck gathered between the 3 pieces

Good look.

Looks good, in some ways I wish I had kept it but I would never have gone into as much detail! I only really bought it as it was in the same town and cheap but I loved having it. Will have to dig out the pics I took with it and Trophy #500.
