After a bit of thought I will be drawing a line under my damper servicing .. On top of my day job the work leval is proving unsustainable .. It's dissapointing to do this as helping the forum was my intention but rather than providing a poor service I'd sooner not bother.. The work is taking me to long to complete as fighting the ferraris this year is taking all the time I have..
Sorry to owners looking to get rebuilds done.. I will take on a very Ltd number of services for units I have already done and for long standing forum members that can wait a few weeks.. But other than that for now no more units..

:( That's sad news Rik, but understandable, there are only so many hours in the day and there are many things that are more important. :)

Real work at the moment is 12-14hr days.. It's not leaving enough time to do a proper job to a realistic time scale.. Things may change but for now I can't do both.. I'm very sorry to owners who feel let down but this is where we are right now..

No need to be sorry, you have already gone the extra mile for a number of Trophy owners of which we are all very grateful.

Sorry to hear that @Rik Perry - but fully understandable. There are a fair few grateful and appreciative members with shiny new dampers as a result of your time, experience and efforts :)

Sorry to hear this Rik, but all the hard work in the shop is paying off The silver arrows were great this weekend. Need to beat Vettel at all costs (even Sachs rebuilds)

It's a lot of extra work to take on when your day job is so demanding.

Thanks for all the work you've put in up to now.

That's disappointing to hear Rik, but completely understandable. Hopefully at sometime in the future the work-life balance may return and you can consider helping supportive members once again.

Thanks for all the insight you've been able to provide. It's been a pleasure seeing the quality of your output and the many happy members that have benefitted from it.

All the best in taking the fight back to Ferrari in this years F1 championship. Hopefully you'll also remain on the forum and keep enjoying your Trophy when you can; work permitting.

Sorry to hear Rik, i havent commented on any of your posts but have been reading with interest.

Did you have any of the shafts you had made left over or would you consider the supply of these only?

Thought it would be worth sharing my solution to keeping the adjusters clean and dirt free.

Anyone guess what it is?

Yep, a thread revival from 2017!

I trying to find these adjuster covers (later post in this thread said they're silicone button covers)

Anyone know where to get a pair / size / product code etc?

I’ve spent a lot of time and money researching and making my builds better than my rivals and I’m not giving that kind of info out .. I’m sure if you google around you can find the same parts I did ..

Rik

I’m sure nobody underestimates or undervalues the extensive knowledge and expertise you have acquired over time and at a personal cost.

However, the sharing of a part number for a low cost off the shelf item is not going to undermine your future business.

C’mon share the love for the Trophy Owner community..........the same community that is openly supportive of each other and that provides you with damper work and presumably some useful income!
