I think you are chasing something that's really going to deliver little in the way of an improvement. Presuming you are meaning an RS200 system. These sort of things are little gain for much hassle

I suspect you are referring to the RS2 intake manifold? These, when added with a suitable map, give a nice increase in torque across the rev range (as opposed to peak performance figures only). They also look great in the engine bay. However, they are expensive and rare. But they do hold their money well should you ever decide to sell it on.

The original RS2 was made by JMS but the rights to the design was sold to two friends of mine. They are now back in manufacture and will be for sale very shortly. Prices are from around the £995 mark (supply only, or £1495 if you want fitting and mapping by SJM).

However... if you're talking about RS matched inlets then I wouldn't bother. There are no gains to be made really.

Hi Guys
Yes that is the RS2 manifold I was thinking about . But it seems from researching that they look great
But actually even with a remap they are only about 8bhp and would cost circa £1000
Am I missing anything ?
Thanks for any advice

The RS2 isn't really about increasing the peak power figure (it takes a lot more expensive mods to get any big figures out of the F4R engine). The beauty of the RS2 is in the way that it delivers the torque across the rev range, leading to a more punchy performance when you put your foot down. You won't suddenly be chasing Lambo's with it installed but my understanding is that it makes a marked difference in the way it drives and delivers the performance. It's also easily reversible if you decide to sell it on and recoup some of the money spent on it (and they tend to hold value very well due to the desirability and rarity).

I have a SM thats the same as a RS2 but fully CNC machined. The inlet is fitted to a 172 cup a very nice power delivery if your around the Kent area your welcome to come and sample it.
