Firstly, does any one elses cruise not match what the speedo says? for example, if I want the speedo to sit at 70mph I have to set the cruise to about 68mph??

Also, the minus button on the steering wheel controls, it never drops the speed. it just cuts out the cruise control all together, like when you tap the brake.

Are these two things just normal? or have I got weird cruise?

Ben, I think your first question about the speeds not matching is normal as mine is the same.

Your second question I think is a problem but I'll need to check next time I'm out in the T.

Cheers. Seems pushing minus should lower the set speed and not cut the cruise. Maybe a dodgy switch. I'll live with it for now I guess

#355 has done similar since I've owned it. On mine the minus button made the speed go up just the same as the plus so it was impossible to adjust unless you deactivated and then reset once the car was at the desired speed.

I've just lived with the fault / not used cruise until I fitted my new refurbished steering wheel last week (swap out service so it's a different wheel) and now it all works perfectly. So it must have been a faulty switch or associated wiring on the wheel.

Interesting Nik, as I have the same issue with my trophy - you select +/-/R/O and the speed/display goes up.

I have a spare set of switches so will try swapping them over. If that doesn't work the next swap will be the squib.

It was done by the user 'Snappy' over on ClioSport.net, he's done wheel retrims for loads of clio owners on there and some on here too. Top quality work and very well priced.

Update for anybody searching : Managed to fix this problem this week and turned out the 2 cruise control buttons on the wheel were faulty - replaced them and now all working.
