Hi All,

Its been a while since being on here....

I would like to get my Trophy (049) out of the garage (its only been nearly 2 years SORN).
Last MOT I had an advisory for the front PE2 tyres being cracked.
I had changed the rears to PS3 83v, and so I thought I got some new PS3 83v from Demon Tweeks, they have just emailed me saying they haven't got these in stock and from the supplier they don' know when they are coming in.

Any of you guys / girls know where i can get a pair of PS3 83v from please ?
Being a geek I want to keep to the same tyres..

Cheers

Chris

I wanted the PS3 but couldn't get any so went for the Hankook V12 Evo instead.

I've looking for a new set of tyres too. Options are Pirelli P Zero, Conti Sport 2 or Hankook V12 that I currently have on the front at the mo. Can't fault them really but have no experience of how they compare to the OEM tyre.

I never liked the p zero's either. Fulda sport(something) are worth a look as well as the V12's

You probably wont be able to source PS3 83V's unless maybe from abroad. The PS3's available have been the 87 W XL's however they seem to be drying up, did see on ebay 4 for sale in Manchester £445.00 delivered.

I will need a couple of new front tyres soon and with the PS3's not being readily available now I wonder if anyone else is running 'mixed' tyres and what works best, another option would be to replace all 4 and perhaps sell/keep the rears.

Word is that the PS3 has been discontinued, but the smallest size its replacement is being produced in is 17"....annoying.

I'm hunting for a pair of 87 W XL rated PS3's at the moment!

I had them before a bit and they were alright, the 87 XL rated PS3 is better though, my issue is I have 2 really good PS3's on my turinis and 2 knackered ones, I'd rather have 4 matched tyres, amI better off taking the hit so I can sell it with Michelins on?

Don't think people will be bothered, as long as you are not mixing tyres on the Sam axel, it really only 4 wheel drive cars that all 4 should be the same

Just ordered Nankang NS-2R's for the rear of the T. I'll report back when I get them fitted but my mate absolutely swears by them. Reviews online seem to say they out perform much more expensive tyres and my friend who put me on to them says they just keep gripping. They do a track version and a road one also, and I managed to pick them up at £63 a corner. Could be a nice cheap alternative if they live up to the reviews.

NS-2Rs are a brilliant tyre IMHO. I was initially put off purchasing them by the image of the brand but I absolutely love them. Sticky as anything and really suited to the light, nimble Trophy.

Interesting reading as mine is close to needing new tyres.. Are they noisy at all....as I'd read a few reviews that say they are ?

Fresh rubber being fitted this eve. Who doesn't love a good looking tread pattern.
