Cheers marrow. Oo, I don't have any alarm related stuff in the Renault wallet. Just updated the price on piston heads to £7,750

    #108 For Sale

That's it. About 6 years or so ago I used to be on the forum quite a lot, marrow (not sure if he's still on here) arranged an essex meet and about 8 cars met up. Mine was the only one that had neither alarm nor cut outs on the a pillar, and didn't bleep when the car was locked (i think). People...

    #108 For Sale

Clio 182 Trophy No. 108 After 7 years of ownership I am reluctantly selling my much loved Trophy. It has received nothing but the best treatment in its life, and is a truly superb example of the car. She has travelled just 58,500 miles, and this will remain roughly the same till sold. A full...

    Trophy Respray

Kream developments in Rainham. Had some paintwork done a few years back and it was the best I've had. I will be going back in the new year for some more work.

Where do folk disappear to on here

Mine's been off the road for a couple of periods, now it's tucked up for winter so I don't really have anything to talk about or gone wrong with it!

    Remove sachs for winter?

Taking them off won't cause them to fail my friend...not unless you use a sledgehammer to remove them :) It's certainly not going to hurt, and will give you a chance to give them a proper clean and seal. It only takes a few years of road use for the nicely powder coated finish to become a rust...

    New Cat

Hmmm, have you heard of anybody's failing? I'm sure someone's had broken apart inside and become kapoot. Nah its the flange bit that connects to the downpipe I'll have a closer look but it looks pretty weak, and the steel pipe thats been welded to the rear of the car is losing it's layers, may...

    New Cat

Mine is rotting away nicely, and I'm considering changing over the winter. I have a BTB cat back fitted with the 2.5" pipe welded to the back of the original cat. I have had a search on here but can't find much on people's experiences with aftermarket cat's that ktec sell? I'm not put off having...

    Thinking of getting a trophy?

I think the only possibility for a more harsher ride than a mini is a plank of wood!

    Thinking of getting a trophy?

I think you really need to 'want' a Trophy to get one over the obvious price difference between it and a 182. I would imagine the 182 is a more comfortable daily driver. Like previously said, once refurbished the Sachs shouldn't cause you any more problems, but if you do the work yourself expect...

    Cambelt, Aux and defazer belts..

Sorry if that sounded abrupt, I shouldn't write posts when i'm super tired! With this: "So with the timing, it's either correct, or incorrect, there's no almost." This is the case when replacing the timing belt, not when altering the ignition timing which is a whole different ball game ie. at...

    Cambelt, Aux and defazer belts..

You can't 'adjust' or alter the timing from changing the belt - If you lock the cams and the crank in place then they will not move while changing the belt. If you don't lock them in, the belt could go back in place so that it may be one notch out either way on a pulley. This would cause awful...

    Tyres!!

I think two tyres on one wheel is a bit silly :) But if one sort is on the back and one on the front then yes fine, as long as you're aware that during spirited driving the front and rear may have different behaviour because of the different tyres...but the front and rear will have different...
