The balls i found were metal. Don't think i could've dragged them in from work as i havent been in for a few weeks now & my work boots have very open grips so not much sticks to the soles.
Cheers for the posts guy's...
They are very small, maybe 1-2mm. I'll have a closer look at the runners in the daylight.
I'm probably paranoid & had visions of something alot worse than it probably is...but after my wiper mechanism broke after 4 years & rattles begining to pop up around the...
Looks like there are a few of us around then with funky monkey local too...so what was it today, an afternoon blowing the cobwebs away? Hats off to you if you drive the R400 to work!
Anytime your free i'll bring my crash hat if you dont mind Valentino Rossi sitting next to you (its the only...
Received in a speedy manner & fitted even quicker!...looks great. Had a look at a new Megane today which had a factory fitted job...this looks just like it.
Thanks Again Dave.
Yeah, just dug around a bit under there & couldnt see anything that looked worn...it looks like a sealed unit (which explains why the guy at the 'stealers looked at me oddly when i enquired) Not too sure but im now thinking my indicator switch/stalk feels a bit rough so maybe they have dropped...
Wow, just up the road! Mate the R400 looks sweet...did you build it yourself? I'd love to have one of those. Hope you didn't think i was completly mental laughing to myself when we passed, just with your lid on i thought you could've been The Stig!! Did i see you a year or so ago going along...
Can anyone help me? I have now found a third bearing ball in the footwell...I'm worried it has something to do with the steering which is not rough or stiff when i steer but i have heard a click now & again (prob as the little balls pop themselves out).
Just been over to my ever helpfull...
This was me...on my way back from the 'stealers...think i heard a toot somewhere along the way. Are you local? I'm over Pinner & have only ever seen 1 other since i bought it a year & a half ago...
This was me on my way to work feelin a bit rough...i would appologise for the dirt on it ut if you were in the 106 i remember that was even worse...I would've been going quicker but didn't need a tug from the law before my shift!
Stealer's! They would do it cheaper but it would've been non Reno parts (approved parts but not genuine). At least i know Rentec used Reno parts & i figured that a reno specialist service stamp would look as good to any buyer especially as it seems alot of people on here are moving away from...
Just had 36k service done on 171 @ Rentec in Portsmouth...I had my cam belt changed early on this service because the aux belts will have to come off again next year to do the cam belt & was told by Renault that it would need another aux belt kit(or at least new belts)...Rentech quoted me £700...
I bottled out of asking the price of a new one at Reno...Recover in alcantara possibly if i could find someone who would do some nice tight stiching...dont really want an aftermarket wheel tho.
I found all i needed to remove the old Knob on here...there's a thread somewhere. I was able to roll the old plastic cover off once the hard piece had been popped out. You are then left with a moulded plastic which needs to be cut away to leave the knurled top of the gearstick...the £60 ball of...
If your going to get one from the stealers why not go for a Clio V6 metal ball. THIS is what Renault should've fitted frm the factory. From the sound of it it's around the same price as the leather one but it makes my car feel a little more special (if thats at all possible) I got the code from...
