Oh I really miss 218!! Almost tempted to buy it back, but I have no where to keep it! Nice to see it's been well looked after though, hope the new owner will continue to do so...
£12k for a 10 year old car that cost £15k new? Generally modifications, expecially non factory fitted, add very little if anything to the resale value of a car, even if the modifications cost thousands. You're better off and likely to have a chance of selling your car if you restored it back...
Whilst I might not fully agree with the verdict, I do agree that these cars are the last of a dying breed. :(

It's what they did with the Megane RS 250, they introduced the first 265 as a Trophy, then the 265 became the norm. Look on the bright side, keeps the real deal Clio Trophy as a proper collectable not a marketing ploy to sell more Clios! ;)

The holes for the 4 screws on the ring do not exist on the original dampers so would have to be perhaps drilled in to the top of the original dampers or the tops of the orignal damper needs to swapped with the ones from the...
The R1 dust cover/"scraper" ring on the shaft do fit the regular Sachs, the shaft diameter is identical. It fitted fine on the standard dampers when I took them off the R1 dampers. I didn't know these rings were available separately.
I have for sale a pair of Sachs Dampers that are in need of a refurb. They came off the car in 2012 after I replaced them with new Twingo R1 dampers and have been in my garage since. I'm asking £325ono preferably the buy collects. Please PM me if you are interested. Thanks...
When you consider the car is now nearly 10 years old, it's not doing too bad and faults you describe are fairly minor. Hopefully now that it's sorted, it'll give you a few more years of trouble free motoring.
Guys, give the newbie a break! We don't really want to discourage people from posting here.
@Danny, we're generally a friendly and helpful bunch on here, honest, and will appreciate your contributions to this forum.
The red dial on the shocks are to adjust the damping rate for a harder or...
