Not sure if Danny is talking about the stock Trophy set up, but when i ran my old fully stripped out trophy with MF springs and koni's on the rear, it was not unbalanced at all, in fact for a car running a fixed ride height it was pretty good.
But like i say, i wonder if Danny is just talking...
Re: 2005 Renault Clio Trophy, over 7K spent! Big Spec!
The Trophy doesn't come with 4k of dampers, the rears are similar if not identical to the one fitted to other 1*2's albeit with a different part no, the fronts are the exception, the thicker piston allows for greater control and the...
I've got one from the group buy up for sale, it's never been fitted and as it say's, was just under £600
Would take £450 if anyone's interested.
Must be collected though, may be able to meet up if that helps
I'm off to Swindon on Saturday next week and Oulton Park on the 27th. Failing...
Not sure on a direct comparison with the Sachs as these Ast's were never run on the car, but if i was needing to refurb my sachs dampers at a cost of close to £500, i'd rather sell the sachs for £300-400 unfurb'd and buy a set of these instead, the benefits are greater than with the fixed spring...
If anyone's interested i've got a brand new BTB exhaust up for grabs for only £450, that's £150 less than the group buy over on Cs a few months ago.
It's brand new and has never been fitted.
Chris
A suitable upgrade for the track orientated Trophy owner or just any road driver that wants the extra adjustability these dampers offer.
These are the Sportline II's not the cheaper sportline I's that most people fit, the main difference is the 45mm diameter front piston, enables more precise...
Duffer, it's a really easy track to drive, that was the 1st time i've been to brands and although it's hard to tell on the video, the track was damp as it was on and off showers all day.
For me there's 2 corners which can be taken in 2 ways,
1st is the hairpin, you can either hang it out wide...
Richard, just had a thought
You've just had to adjust your rear bumper to get the exhaust to look right, and you've also got a knock.
Check your exhaust back box hasn't moved, when i 1st bought my Trophy i had the exact same thing, it turned out to be the rear box that had moved...
People seem to be paying a lot to have their dampers done, iirc I paid for £421 inc delivery and Vat, 5 months ago, admittedly i took the dampers off and sent them but that means they're charging £200 to remove and replace, i think i need to go in to business  £200 for an hours work...
Rich, what's the chance of them being able to do the bottom coolant hose without the "t" to the heater matrix? if they can then count me in, not sure on colour though
Cheers
Chris
