hey, just placed the deposit on my trophy 182, getting it on wed! (cant wait)! just been reading the forum to find out about all the little secrets and tips for the car, i read this

best o the lot - wiper stak coversion. The base model stalk can easily be switched with one from a Dynamique in 5 mins - all the electronic stuff is already in the car, you just need the stalk!!!

just wondered what was different in the Dynamique which the 182 does not have?

also does the 182 have a speed limiter? i noticed the cruise control on the test drive but not a speed limiter, might just me not looking about enough. cheers

Yes it does, you flick the switch the other way and it acts as a speed limiter

as above re the speed limiter - the dashboard light will be orange not green when the limiter is engaged.

regarding the difference you ask about i presume you refer to why the stalk was different... well that's because the Trophy was an end of the line model and the parts bin was raided - nothing to do with the dynamique being more highly spec'd or anything.

Hi all

I have just acquired a Trophy so new to the forum. It is very low miles so hoping no damper rebuilds required yet but you guys might tell me otherwise (I hope not).
Previously owned a couple of Evo 6 Tommi Mak's so it will be interesting. First foray into French cars too!
WHAT is the difference between the Dynamique wiper stalk and the Trophy's basic one? I understand WHY it might be different (parts bin and all that).

Thanks.

The DWS allows you to alter the speed as opposed to being on or off.

You should register your T on the forum, stating your number x/500.

Now this thread has been revived I thought i might add a few things. Mainly to do with window wipers lol(sorry if previously mentioned)

1. When window wipers are on and you do hard breaking, the rear does a sweep
2. When the window wipers are on a constant setting they will slow to intermittent when the car stops (at traffic lights etc)

Also i could swear that the radio gets louder once travelling above 70 ish?

I've never noticed 1.

Re the radio, I think it's more down to the rattling stops until you hit 110mph. Like with concorde, these french technicians build in panels gaps to allow for metal expansion i think haha

The radio in the 182 goes up in increments with the speed: 40, 70, 95, if I remember correctly.

The backs of the seats are adjustable, but the bases do not rock/tilt so they are fixed in height.

If you want to reduce the height of the seat you can remove some washers from under the base to drop it by a few mm.

Not exactly a life changer, but the traffic information (that cuts your current radio/CD) has separate volume. You could leave it louder so you don't miss anything.
